Grandson Isaac's quilt
Here are some of the quilts I have made. I recently finished the Jungle themed quilt for my grandson Isaac. I designed the applique of the animals from from fussy cut animals found in the log cabin squares. This was also my first adventure in machine quilting and I found that I like it a lot.  And the quilt below I made for my grandmother's 90th birthday which was eleven years ago. It is machine pieced and hand quilted which is also a favorite. Sadly this was not a favorite with my Grandmother. She didn't like it, she prefered the one I made for my Grandfather. Sigh....

Have a wonderful day and hopefully get a little quilting done....Scrappily    Susan

  1. I LOVE Isacc's quilt! You did an awesome job! How long did it all take? The quilting is fabulous! How's your neck after that?? ;-)

The flower baskets are wonderful, too. Looks like an Eleanor Burns pattern. It's probably your own creation, though.

  2. Thanks Robin, the flower baskets are Eleanor Burns. At the time I needed something that was fast since I didn't have much time to finish it. I prefer to design my own patterns as you know. Quilting Isaac's quilt was really fun and fast and it didn't bother my neck only the wrist I broke. Gloves have fixed that problem, so I am good to go. I have two quilts waiting for me to quilt on the machine and two by hand.
Love the quilt you made in Canada. It's beautiful. I love the contrasts and stitching.
